About

My name is Jamile Kaaki. I was born and raised in Beirut, Lebanon. I received a Quran teaching certification from Dar Elfatwa, Beirut, and currently working on Texas teacher's certification. I moved to Texas with my family in 2007. I have over 10 years of experience in teaching the Arabic language as a foreign language. I worked at Al-Hedayah Academy in Fort Worth for 8 years and this is my third year of teaching at Manara STEM Academy. I am fluent in Arabic, French and English, I am also  an interpreter from English to Arabic (and vice versa). I had participated in several conventions and workshops including ISNA, Arabic talK12 and ACTFL for teaching Arabic as a foreign language and also I had certifications in Curriculum Designs from Concordia Language Villages. I wish through my teaching to keep my deep connection with the Arabic language as well as to relate to my students the cultural and social nuances that I think make my language so unique and interesting. In my free time, I like reading, knitting, cooking and spending time with family and friends.
